Apply for a First Nations bursary to attend ALIA National 2026 Conference
Applications close on 15 February 2026
The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) is working towards increasing opportunities and removing barriers for First Nations library and information sector colleagues to participate in our conferences and events and has established a bursary fund for First Nations event attendance.
A portion of every registration in the ALIA Respect and Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, Cultures and Country in Australian Libraries course contributes to the bursary fund. This foundational course was developed in collaboration between ALIA and the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
ALIA is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island colleagues interested in attending the ALIA National 2026 Conference in Sydney from 11 – 14 May 2026. To be considered for bursary funding, please submit this form by 15 February 2026.
