The ABC in partnership with Australian Library and Information Association and Western Sydney University
This 2-3 hour workshop aims to equip communities to better identify misinformation. It includes a presentation with embedded segments from the ABC docuseries The Matter of Facts, bespoke clips, written information, guided discussion prompts and a breakout activity.
In addition, as part of the ABC’s evaluation of the project, three short online surveys are included in the materials. Two surveys are for workshop participants to complete pre and post workshop. The third survey is for the library staff who delivered the workshop.
Following the workshop, participants will receive links to resources to explore at home. We know that tackling misinformation and disinformation is a huge issue for communities everywhere right now. We look forward to working with you on this important workshop to support your community.
